This program was started to solve a problem that many people discovered when considering the purchase of new equipment which is sticker shock to say the least. Owners of older equipment designed by James Bongiorno wanted to know if their older gear could be upgraded to near today's standards which might save a lot of money. So I started this program to help people who simply could not afford today's megabuck prices.
The program consists of the following.
1. Removal of all semiconductor devices and replacement with new modern
devices
2. Removal of all compensation caps and replacement with dipped silver
micas.
3. Installation of gold input jacks and gold output binding posts.
4. Installation of double shielded Vampire wire for input cables.
5. Complete check of soldering to find cold solder joints, bad grounds, etc.
6. Unit is tested and adjusted and burned in for 4 hours.
7. Unit is listened to in order to verify sound quality
Customer is required to send a check with order and to include return shipping charges. It is also highly recommended that the unit be enclosed in a plastic garbage type bag before boxing in order to preserve cosmetics and prevent scratches. Also, be advised that I cannot repair cosmetic faults nor can I fix meters. I will try to fix meters if I can but with no guarantees. Finally, it is highly recommended that the customer box the unit as securely as possible in order to avoid shipping damage.
